9/15-9/21 Consumer Focus + Business Card Designs
During the weekend, I talked to my cousin, Mike. He helped me realize that I needed to figure out who my target consumer is and cater my website towards them. Thus, I updated the six featured images on the homepage … Continue reading 9/15-9/21 Consumer Focus + Business Card Designs
9/8 – 9/14 Self doubt
This past weekend, I tried to did not think about my startup. With fresh eyes on Monday, I had doubts. I questioned my drive and passion for pursuing my startup. To reduce my negative thoughts spiraling out of control, I tried to pinpoint where this self doubt arose from: my expectations of the future and comparing it to its current condition. It was hard to accept, but soon after, I realized I needed to take baby steps and expand day by day. Continue reading 9/8 – 9/14 Self doubt

Throughout this recap, I dedicated one day to create and build two new toolboxes! One has a false bottom, which holds my business cards and bluetooth speakers, while the other holds my various office needs. They both can be transported … Continue reading 8/30 – 9/7 Recap: Two New Boxes + Business Plan + Conference Calls
8/21-8/29 Transferring footage+Business Cards+Relax
8/21-8/24: Geez… I did not know how difficult it was to airdrop 9 hours worth of footage from an iPhone to a PC. This probably took me around 4 hours to do! Fortunately, I had the patience to actually do it, but I learned that it’s probably easier if I used a GoPro. And Julian, if you’re reading this, we still have to watch all the footage and edit the videos for the awesome viewers out there! I’ve done most of the heavy lifting and transferring of footage and I have everything on a flashdrive. Hopefully we can make more … Continue reading 8/21-8/29 Transferring footage+Business Cards+Relax
8/20 Medium + WordPress
The main mantra for my startup is transparency is key. So in order to be transparent to not only my employees (friends) I wanted to be transparent with you all! In order to do that, I realized I needed to create a Blog that is updated daily. I started with Medium, but then realized the website also has a built in blog section. The website was a helpful way to organize all aspects of the startup. I was able to showcase pictures, contents, and blog posts. It took me a while to make it look nice, but it was worth … Continue reading 8/20 Medium + WordPress
8/19 YouTube
After my vacation, I realized that I needed multiple platforms, not just Instagram, to outreach to more people. So I decided to make a YouTube account for Traveling Toolbox. I have followed many YouTubers (such as JustKiddingFilms and Jeremy Jahns) and because of them, I wanted to have my own channel so others can relate to me on a more personal level aside from pictures and blogs. Thus, the creation of Traveling Toolbox on YouTube was created! Continue reading 8/19 YouTube
8/8 – 8/18 Vacation
Learned a lot of cool things during this vacation. Since it is family business and not startup info, I think I’m going to keep it separate. Hopefully that’s fine with you all 🙂 Continue reading 8/8 – 8/18 Vacation
8/5 – 8/8 The Team
The next big step was to recruit my team. From the beginning, I had a clear vision of what checkmate would look like, but I did not know what the small steps preceding it were. All I knew for sure was that I needed trustworthy friends because the “chess game” would not end in a couple of minutes, but rather a couple of years. The very first person I recruited was Matt. He was a very good friend of mine since middle school and he had more knowledge in app development than I ever will. Next was Kevin. He was … Continue reading 8/5 – 8/8 The Team
8/5/17 – Mini Shark Tank Presentation
8/5/17 – Mini Shark Tank Presentation I thought my startup was just an “okay” idea. To test the waters, I preemptively planned to do a “Shark Tank” presentation at my nephew’s birthday party without asking for permission to do so. … Continue reading 8/5/17 – Mini Shark Tank Presentation
